NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids are sought and invited by the Town Board, Town of Clinton for the Installation of Spray Foam Insulation at the Town Highway Garage on Centre Road, as set forth in drawings and specifications prepared by Morris Associates, P.L.L.C. Engineering Consultants, 9 Elks Lane, Poughkeepsie, New York 12601. Bids will be received by the Town Clerk of the Town of Clinton, Town Hall, 1215 Centre Road, Rhinebeck, New York 12572 until 2:00 p.m. on September 8, 2008, will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:15 p.m., with the contract being awarded as soon as practicable thereafter. Work proposed under this contract is located at the Highway Garage at 1215 Centre Road in the Town of Clinton, New York. This contract includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services necessary to complete in an acceptable manner all work, as indicated in the contract documents for the installation of the Spray Foam Insulation. Copies of the Bid Documents may be obtained on or after August 27, 2008 from the office of the Town Clerk, Town of Clinton, Town Hall, 1215 Centre Road, Rhinebeck, New York between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon Wednesday, August 27, 2008 and Thursday, August 28, 2008, and the following week Tuesday, September 2, 2008 through September 4, 2008 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday, September 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, or at the offices of Morris Associates, P.L.L.C. on 9 Elks Lane, Poughkeepsie, New York 12601 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. upon making a payment of $20.00 for each set of specifications. All payments shall be in the form of a check or money order made payable to the Town of Clinton and are non-refundable. Each bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form of a certified check or a bid bond subject to the conditions of this proposal. The successful bidder shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the contract price, and a Maintenance Bond for a period of one year upon completion of the project. The completion date for this project will be thirty (30) days from the starting date to be specified in the Town's Notice to Proceed. No bid will be accepted unless a signed Certification of Non-Collusion is submitted with the bid. The Town of Clinton Town Board expressly reserves the right to waive any irregularities in or to accept any bid or to reject any and all bids or to award on any or all items as the interest of the Town of Clinton may appear to require. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the bid opening. By order of the Town Board, Town of Clinton, New York.

Public Information Session on Clinton Hollow Bridge On April 24, Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DPW) held an informational meeting on the proposed reconstruction of the Clinton Hollow bridge and the realignment of Hollow Road (County Route 14) in the hamlet of Clinton Hollow. Three conceptual drawings were presented and a proposed bridge design with rock facing to retain the character of the existing bridge. The conceptual drawings are on display in the Town Hall meeting room. The meeting is being rebroadcast on Cablevision channel 22. The DPW (Department of Public Works) is soliciting any comments and/or questions concerning this project by May 18 so they can start the preliminary design. Another public meeting will be held in the fall of 2007 to seek comments on the preliminary design.
